[Comp] Shields :)

Hi all

Thinking about shield comps and what would be needed to make them work the best

I think the main purpose of a shielding team would be to focus all of them to survive burst damage, as opposed to a healing team which is more interested in sustain. I would count pure HP shields, CC shields, invulnerability and significant armour/resist buff as some form of shield as they all help toward that goal.

Having shields for the sake of having shields is not so good by itself. I think we'd need some sort of hypercarry who could receive the full benefit of the shielding and tear the enemy team to pieces:

Everything should ideally be geared towards staying alive as long as possible. Many shielders have very low cooldowns on their abilities, so the longer a fight goes on the more shielding can be done. Take out the enemy damage dealers and you pretty much win

Taric's heal has pretty good ratios too!
